  • The internship should be remunerated according to performance. In the case of voluntary internships, the employer is legally obliged to pay the minimum wage. On the other hand, Mandatory internships do not have to be reimbursed – but in this case, you should at least not incur any additional costs. 
  • The same applies to holiday entitlements. Voluntary internships oblige the internship company to award the intern proportionate vacation time. However, if it is a mandatory internship, the holiday is also a matter of negotiation.
